Become an Instructor

To become an European Krav Maga Academy Instructor you will need to attend to the instructor course and have a proven background of at least one year of REAL Krav Maga or other relevant Close Combat training.

We DO NOT offer 3 day instructor courses! You will have to train with us, attend to instructor meetings, learn and after that assist an instructor for at least 3 months.

You will be screened and tested.

The instructor curriculum consists of First Aid, Psychology, Violence Control, Didactics, Theoretical knowledge and of course the practical knowledge of all our techniques.

We are only seeking for a stable partnership with motivated and dedicated instructors. We are not looking for fitness instructors trying to make a living from Krav Maga, we are not looking for huge ego’s… and we are certainly not looking for instructors to sponsor our huge mansion (with swimming pool).

Still want to be an instuctor? Write us a motivation mail, try to explain us why we should invest our time in you. Convince us and you will learn that it isn’t about the cash…

Extra:  This approach has already led us to reject candidates. Some because they do not fit within the organization, others because they are not competent enough. We have noticed that some immature rejected applicants have difficulty with our rejection and try to inflict damage to the  EKMA by fake posting on blogs etc. It is our policy not to respond.

Cost

One of the first questions the candidates ask is: “what is the price of the course?” it shouldn’t be their first concern, but we understand the worries. Especially when you hear the prices some “masters” dare asking.

Once we are convinced that you have the potential of being a great instructor we only want you to join the EKMA. It will cost you a membership fee, fuel, time and effort. That’s it. There are no hidden fees. As soon as you start your group we charge an instructor fee (150€/year), a fee per location (120€/year) and we demand that your members join the KMSDF for insurance reasons (25€ per member per year). You will get flyers, business cards, stickers etc. Your members will get discounts on seminars and we will invite them to our free events…

Time

“And how long does it take?” is the second question. If you have the right background and you are on the same wavelenght it will take you a minimum of 3 months. If you have an irrelevant background it could take upto 2 years.

Can anyone join to become a instructor?

No…
